A huge congratulations to the Fifth and Sixth class Green School representatives who succeeded in getting funding from Fingal County Council to install a Crystal Clear Water Bottle Filler in our school reception area. The eight members wrote a persuasive letter to Fingal County Council outling the school’s campaign to encourage all our pupils, teachers and staff members to bring reusable water bottles to school. Armed with the results of their survey and detailing the reasons why this water filler was needed, they presented their case to the Education Environmental Office, who was so impressed, she put the wheels in motion to get ther water filler installed before the holidays! Well done to this fantastic group of pupils! A huge thank you to Mr. Ivers, our caretaker, who has helped the committee with their endeavours all year and for the reusable water bottles he and Ms. N. Fay presented to the committee members and the pupils in Room 27. A final thank you to Ms. O’Halloran who officially cut the green ribbon! The Green School committee would like to encourage everyone to keep up the great work of reusing, reducing and recycling during the holidays! Míle buíochas!
