Congratulations to all the boys and girls in Mr. Harrison and Ms. Harte’s classes who made their communion last Saturday. The ceremony was beautiful . Many thanks to Mr. Harrison , Ms Harte, Ms. Dabrowska and Ms. Nolan for all their hard work and also Ms. Murphy for accompanying the children on the organ again this week.
The children in 1st class have been writing digital stories using Storybird.
Storybird is a free and creative language-arts tool. It allows children to choose from a huge variety of art work as inspiration for their writing. Read some of the children’s stories below.

Children in 1st, 2nd and 3rd class are working on digital stories using a variety of online tools and software. They are researching, planning with storyboards and creating multimedia projects using PhotoStory and StoryBird. The children are using a mixture of technology – using PCs, tablet laptops and ipads to complete their work. Keep an eye out for their finished stories when we publish them!
See some photos of the children at work this week.
Ms. Dillon’s 1st class performed a Nativity play at both carol services. We think they were amazing!
The children in Ms. Ní Fhearghail’s class made a video using lots of photos from their school tour to Newbridge House last week. They have added lots of information for us to listen to.
In First class this week they were learning about farming, milk and various dairy products. Mr Mc Veety decided it would be a great idea to make butter. They used fresh cream and shook it in sealed lunch boxes for about 10 mins until it turned into butter. The children then spread it on their crackers and gobbled it up. It looked yummy.
