Hamper donation in 5th class Room 27
This year, in the lead up to Christmas, the children in our class, Ms. G. Fay’s 5th, decided to make a hamper and donate it to the local branch of the Society of St. Vincent de Paul.
Every pupil brought in an item or two from the kitchen cupboard and before we knew it we had several boxes filled!
Thank you to all our parents and grandparents for helping us with this donation.
Christmas art around the school
Take a look at some of the fantastic art on display around our school this Christmas, especially the amazing decorations made from recycled materials.
Christmas Jumper Day
On Wednesday, December 22nd school closes at 11:50 for the Odds and 12:10 for the Evens. We are asking the children to all wear a festive item of clothing on this, the last day of term. It can be a hairband, hat or jumper. We are asking for a small donation from each child which we will give to a local charity.
Virtual Carol Service
We hope to bring our Carol Service to our pupils and parents today, Friday 17th December. We will share a link by via Aladdin with parents once the children have viewed it. Each class will sing a carol and Ms. Mc Gann’s will perform the Nativity Story. We will have “O Holy Night” sung by one of our own teachers and Freya from Junior Infants, who shares her birthday with Baby Jesus will place him in our own manger.
Tidy Towns in 6th class
6th class were hard at work earlier this week, in cooperation with Castleknock Tidy Towns, planting bulbs for Spring.
Prizes for Parents
Unfortunately our annual Christmas fair was cancelled again this year but instead members of our fabulous PTA are running a festive Christmas raffle this Friday. There is one mega adult prize for each class along with several smaller children’s prizes. Any pupil who brings in a donation of €5 or more will be entered into the class draw. With only 30 pupils in each class, the odds of winning are pretty high!

Congratulations Caoimhe. See her website here
