On Thursday, 25th November, all the 6th class pupils walked to Russell Park where they completed the final mile of the Marathon Kids program…that’s over 26 miles they ran this term. Well done everyone and we hope you all keep up your running now !
Mr. Lowery who along with Fingal County Council has led this great initiative gave our medals AND t-shirts when the run was over.
Please note advice on unvaccinated household contacts...restrict movements while awaiting test results of a symptomatic household member. This means if one child or adult is awaiting test results, all unvaccinated household members should remain at home unless they have had covid in the last nine months.

There was great excitement in Room 2 as all the boys and girls got their chance to design the Christmas Jumper they think Ryan Tubridy might wear for the Late Late Toy Show tonight!
The 5th class children in Room 25 are working with WeDo Lego education kits to build and code models. Take a look at some of their models and fantastic coding in the video below:

We want to remind parents that masks must be worn by ALL adults in the vicinity of the school when dropping and collecting.
Please also remember to socially distance from other adults and not delay after dropping and collecting.
Parent Teacher meetings will be held after school next week , running from Monday 22nd through to Thursday 25th November.
In line with Government guidance, these meetings will be held by phone.
The teachers are sending out dates and approximate times so you can expect their call.
Please return the form to the teacher in order to confirm the meeting time, the name of the person taking the meeting and the phone number you can be contacted on.

The girls and boys in Room 2 enjoyed science week last week. We conducted lots of experiments that were fun and interesting. We learned that fire needs oxygen to burn and we learned that plants absorb water from their roots and bring all the water all around the plant to survive. We experimented with magnets to see if objects were metal or non-metal and we also learned that some objects sink and some float in water.
Take a look at the STEM projects completed by Room 28 5th class over the last few weeks. The children have been working in their pods with the WeDo 2.0 materials from Lego Education to build and code their models. They have also been working to control their models with motion sensors.
