We were delighted to hear during the summer that one of our past-pupils, Alannah O’Connell, was selected to play for the Irish Women’s U16 basketball team.
Alannah loved to play all sports when she was in St.Brigid’s and her psssion for basketball developed over the last number of years playing for Tridents basketball club.
Alannah travelled to Slovakia in August to play in a tournament against teams from all around Europe. As you can see from the pictures below, she represented Ireland with pride!
Well done Alannah, everyone here in St.Brigid’s is very proud of you
Mr. Lowery got the Fingal Marathon Kids programme off to a great start this year! The 6th class girls and boys began their programme on Monday. They are hoping to cover the same distance as a full marathon over the next two months. Look out for them running lapos on the Church Green every day !
