Carol Services 2016

Thank you to all the Parents and Grandparents who managed to attend the Carol Services this year. We hope you enjoyed the beautiful carols as much as we did. We want to congratulate all the children on their good behaviour especially the Junior Infants who had to perform on both days and our outstanding school choir who  delighted us all by singing four carols. We have a few more pictures on our flickr page which we will add to.

Christmas Cribs

20161216_114151We want to thank all the children who made such wonderfully creative cribs this Christmas. We had cribs  constructed from toilet rolls, clothes pegs, pasta ,clay and dough  to name but a few materials.  Children will be called down to collect their cribs tomorrow.

Santa’s Visit

Santa arrived in school today and settled himself in the Library to read a few books but he was soon joined by all the girls and boys in Infants. He chatted to each small  groups , asking if they were going to leave him any food on Christmas Eve. He then gave them a little surprise  for being so good in school. Here are a few pictures from Ms. Doyle’s class as they visited.

Our New Crib

Today  Michele and Catherine from the PTA assembled our new crib in the foyer. We then invited one class to sing carols while David Galvin, the eldest boy in our school lit the Christmas candle. It was then the turn of our youngest pupils, Conor O’ Hara and Vidya Robinson to place the manger and Baby Jesus in the stable.  Click the picture for a short clip.
