Uniform Sale and Lost Property

The PTA are organising a sale of second hand uniforms tomorrow July 1st in the Sports Hall from 10am – 12 noon.

We have gone through all classrooms and place left behind coats  in lost property . We are leaving these all outside the school library for a week . If not claimed before Friday 8th July , we will donate them  to the VDP. Some of the coats look brand new . Please come and check if you are missing a coat .We did not keep smaller items like hats and gloves .

Thank you

Last Week Reminders

Next week is the final week of school this term.

School finishes at NOON on Thursday

Two of the 5th classes are having their tour on Monday .

6th classes will graduate .  The Mass begins at 1pm and parents are invited to come to the Mass and then accompany their child home from the school. It can be an emotional time for pupils so they may need a little  extra support .

Children go their lines as usual at 8:50 am and their new teacher will come to the line to collect their new class. They will bring the class to their new room.

Junior and Senior Infants will  be taken to their current classrooms on Thursday morning and the new teachers will collect them from there.

During break they will be shown where to play and where to line up in September.  We will post this information on the app and website before the new school begins.

School Magazine

the-best-thing-since-sliced-bread-hotcakes-3-638Everyone is talking about this year’s magazine and how great it is . It’s been selling like hot cakes so if you haven’t got your hands on a copy yet you need to send  your €6  in asap . Ms Fay tells us she is down to the last box and as they say “when they are gone they are gone !”

Concert at 11am

The 6th class concert is tomorrow at 11am . The two choirs and a few pupils from 6th will perform . Although the concert is for the pupils we have no objections to the parents of performers coming but it will be standing room only at the back of the Sports Hall!

Thank you everyone for your Jersey Day support.

IMG_4047Jersey Day was a great success. we know it’s a busy and expensive time of year but everyone really got into the  fundraising spirit  and we saw lots and lots of different jerseys, soccer, gaa and rugby.

The Give Cancer the Boot campaign received  €1380 in donations.

Ms O’ Callaghan was delighted and asked that we thank all the children and parents who were so generous in their support.

Pictured above are Ms. O’ Brien’s 3rd class who made all the wonderful GIVE CANCER THE BOOT posters around the school.

If you haven’t voted  for the €5000 donation  yet please do as there are only a few days left .Click HERE
