Traditional Concert in Sports Hall

What a great day we had in school today . Over 950   adults and children filed into the Sports Hall at 9:30 am to listen to  some great traditional Irish Music. We all got to clap along and sing and we were especially thrilled to see Mr Harrison join the  group on stage and  later to see  Ms O’ Brien dance.

Seachtain na Gaeilge

Today Seachtain na Gaeilge drew to a close with a wonderful concert in the Sports Hall. Every class from JI to 3RD performed a song ,  a rhyme or a drama. Ms. O’ Halloran was MC  wearing her very own  specially designed leprechaun costume for the occasion. We all sat  really quietly and listened attentively . It was great fun.  You can see how well behaved we were in the photos below !  Tomorrow we have the raffle to look forward to .  Ms O’ Halloran said there will be nearly 30 prizes !

At 10:30 am our  Cross Country team heads off to compete in the second event held in the Fingal School’s  League. We wish them luck . Remember  to wear warm coats.

At 3pm the Senior Choir will leave to compete in Feis Ceoil .  We hope they have a great evening and that they enjoy their performance.  Remember to bring plenty of water and two packed lunches.

Well done Choir !

Congratulations to all the members of the Senior Choir led by Mrs. Williams who won the primary schools  competition in Wesley last Friday.  They have worked very hard all year, coming to school early and staying in at lunch to practice so it was a well deserved win.  Feis Ceoil takes place on  Tuesday 8th and we wish them continued success.
